Ray “Roger” Nicholas, 60, of Bronston, KY, departed this life Wednesday, March 25, 2015, at his residence.
Roger was born March 5, 1955 in Somerset, KY to the late Robert Olden and Sarah Morrow Nicholas.
He was of Baptist faith and a member of Liberty Baptist Church.
He enjoyed being with family and friends, traveling, camping, fishing, and four-wheeling.
He is survived by his daughter, Betsy Nicholas, of Burnside, three sisters, Doris Jean Troxtell of Bronston, Betty Reagan (and Frazier), of Robbins, TN, and Brenda (and Richard) Keith of Bronston ; one brother, Hank Nicholas of Bronston; five nephews, Curtis Blackburn of Robbins, TN, Donnie (and Cici) Blackburn of Nashville, TN, Jeff (and Kelly) Troxtell, Jack Troxtell, and David Troxtell, of Bronston; two nieces, Penny Richie of Somerset, and Dixie (and Dennis) Billmaier of Kalamazoo, MI; special friends Brian (and Claudia) Watson, Casey Lamp, Wanda Carver, Nathan (and Fe) Tallent, and Jimmy Polston; and his beloved dog, Benji.
Preceding Roger in death are his parents, Olden and Sarah Nicholas and one sister, Angel Nicholas.
Visitation will be held on Friday March 27, 2015 after 6pm in the Chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home.
Funeral Service will be held on Saturday March 28, 2015 at 2pm in the Chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home with Bro. Ulanda Price officiating.
Burial will follow in Jacob-Mayfield Cemetery.
