David Goodpaster age 74 of Ferguson, KY passed away on Friday March 20, 2015 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.
He was born on September 22, 1940 in Rushville, IN to the late Harry and Betty Myers Goodpaster.
He was of Baptist Faith and enjoyed car shows, hotrods, and spending time with his grandchildren.
David was preceded in death by his parents; Harry and Betty Goodpaster and one brother; William Whitaker.
He is survived by his wife; Mary Lower Goodpaster of whom he married on June 13, 1964 in Tuscon, AZ., two sons; Kevin (and Kelly) Goodpaster of Ferguson, KY. and Scott (and Charlena) Goodpaster of Bronston, KY., one daughter; Kimberly (and Brent) Cecil of Somerset, KY., one sister; Donna (and Jim) Harlan of California, six grandchildren; Justin Harris, Mahala Cecil, Aaron Goodpaster, Devan Goodpaster, Noah Cecil, and Emory Goodpaster, and Greg Harris of Somerset, KY whom was like a son.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday March 24, 2015 after 6pm in the Chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday March 25, 2015 at 1pm in the Chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home with Bro. Harold Harris officiating.
Burial will follow in Southern Oaks Cemetery.
Southern Oaks Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
