Helen Dorothy Tanner, age 73, of Somerset, KY., passed away on Wednesday January 7, 2015 at her residence.
She was born on June 17, 1941 to the late Bernard and Agnes Kappes Curtis in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Helen married her late husband, Boyd Tanner, on June 17, 1967 in Cincinnati, OH.
She was a retired Factory Assembly Worker and enjoyed crocheting, quilting, and puzzling.
Helen is preceded in death by her husband; Boyd Tanner, her parents; Bernard and Agnes Curtis, one son; Boyd Harrison Tanner, two brothers; Raymond Curtis and Gregory Curtis, and four sisters; Jacqueline Tilley, Kathleen Brock, Roberta Shouse, and Cheryl Curtis.
She is survived by one son; Boyd M. Tanner of Somerset, KY., five daughters; Rita (David) Jones of Somerset, KY., Melody (Dennis) Bradshaw of Somerset, KY., Denise Tanner of McRae, GA., Helen D. Tanner of Somerset, KY., and Christina M. (Jason) Hall of Eubank, KY., one brother; Kenneth P. (Joyce) Curtis of Cincinnati, OH., three sisters; Paulette Ashley (Lester) of Cincinnati, OH., Deborah (Gary) Napier of Goshen, OH., and Laura (Matt) Webb of Plumb, NV. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday January 9, 2015 after 5pm in the Chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home.
Funeral Service will be held on Friday January 9, 2015 at 7pm in the Chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home with Bro. Robert Barron officiating.
