Fred James Brewer, age 61, of Monticello, KY., passed away on Saturday January 10, 2015 at his residence.
He was born on September 18, 1953 in Jackson, KY to the late Joel and Deloris Roberts Brewer.
Fred was of Baptist Faith and enjoyed four wheeling, hunting, fishing, boating, and the outdoors. He is preceded in death by his parents; Joel and Deloris Brewer, one brother; Chester Brewer, and one nephew; Colin “Bub” Farris. He is survived by his wife; Brenda Phillips Brewer, two sons; Dustin Luied Brewer of Monticello, KY. and Fred James (and Heather) Brewer of Monticello, KY.., one step-daughter; Mandy Phillips of Somerset, KY., five brothers; Scottie Brewer of Jackson, KY., Eugene (and Karen) Brewer of Kempner, TX., Joel Brewer Jr. (and Mary Lou) of Booneville, KY., George Brewer of Jackson, KY., and Christopher Marvin Brewer of Sandy Hook, KY., five sisters; Bonnie (and Bob) Kessler of Gary, IN., Joesphine Brewer of Scottsboro, AL., Lorene Brewer of Mt. Olive, KY., Irene Nobel & Jody Walter of Lexington, KY., and Bonnie Marie Abel of Ruckersville, VA., and his Mother-in-Law and Father-in-Law; Sylvia and Luied Phillips of Bourbon Road in Somerset, KY. He is also survived by three grandchildren; Tristan Dishman, Tyan Dishman, and Joshua Phillips, five nephews; Scott Raymond Brewer, Josh Brewer, Brandon Brewer, Anthony Farris, and Jerry Wayne Noble, four nieces; Tiffany Marie Noble, Kristen Nicole Walter, Kristen Nicole Brewer, and Michelle Farris. Visitation will be held on Wednesday January 14, 2015 from 4pm to 7pm in the Chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday January 14, 2015 at 7pm in the Chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home with Bro. Russell Keith and Bro. Jeff Phillips officiating. Burial will be in Southern Oaks Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Hospice of Lake Cumberland.
