O’Neal Spaw, age 68, of Somerset, KY., passed away on Monday December 15, 2014 at his residence.
He was born on January 21, 1946 in Somerset, KY. to the late Roy and Minnie Helton Spaw.
O’Neal was a retiree of Somerset Refinery after working there for 45 years. He enjoyed gardening, yard work, spending time with his grandkids, and watching sports.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Minnie Spaw, and one brother, Russell Spaw,
He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Yahnig Spaw of whom he married on May 28, 1966 in Somerset, KY., two sons, Randy O’Neal (Kimberly) Spaw of Louisville, KY. and Rodney Wayne (Kelly) Spaw of Henderson, KY., one brother, Arnold (Jeanne) Spaw of Ferguson, KY., three sisters, Margaret (David) Muncy of Kentland, IN., Frances (Glendel) Norfleet of Bourbonnais, IL., and Janice (Wayne) Godby of Somerset, KY., and two grandchildren, Lucy O’Neal Spaw and Carson Jongchul (CJ) Spaw.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday December 17, 2014 from 4pm to 8pm and again on Thursday December 18, 2014 after 9am in the Chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home.
Funeral Service will be held on Thursday December 18, 2014 at 11am in the Chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home with Bro. David Muse officiating.
Burial will follow in Pisgah Cemetery.
