Jody Michael Johnson age 28 of Bronston, Ky. passed away on Friday December 26, 2014.
He was born on July 25, 1986 in Somerset, Ky. to Michael R. Johnson and Phyllis Ann Bourne Johnson. Jody was of the Baptist faith.
He worked at Frisch’s and enjoyed hunting, fishing, being outdoors, car shows, spending time with his family and friends, cracking jokes and working on cars with his dad.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Arthur and Marilyn Johnson, Frank and Clarice Bourne and an uncle, Lewis Godby.
He is survived by his father and step-mother, Michael Johnson and Margarita of Somerset, Ky. and his mother, Phyllis Johnson of Bronston, Ky. His fiance, Stephanie Uffman of Somerset, Ky. Two step brothers, Tony (Beth) Peters of Somerset, Ky. and Kenneth (Jessica) Peters of Shelbyville, Ky. One step-sister, Clevie Peters (Trevor) of Louisville, Ky. Two uncles, Richard (Peggy) Johnson of Nancy, Ky. and Darrell (Carolee) Johnson of Somerset, Ky. One aunt, Gail Daniel of Somerset, Ky. and a great-aunt, Ilena Oaks of Irvin, Ky. Jody is also survived by several cousins, nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday December 29, 2014 after 5pm in the Chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday December 30, 2014 at 2pm in the Chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home.
Burial will follow in the Southern Oaks Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be John Davis, Bobby James, Tony Peters, Rocky Daniel, Doyle Phelps, Tim Coffey, John Coffey, Josh Coffey and Doug Larsen.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the Jody Johnson Memorial Fund C/O Southern Oaks Funeral Home.
