Tommy Lee Cornett, age 39 of Somerset, KY passed away on Saturday September 27, 2014 at the St. Mary Elizabeth Hospital in Louisville, KY.

He was born on May 4, 1975 in Louisville, KY. to Sam Cornett Sr and Drusilla Logsdon Mounce of Somerset, KY.

Tommy was of Baptist faith and liked playing basketball with his stepfather Kermit. He liked staying busy and loved his family, his mother Drusilla, his fiance, Jacqueline Grubb, and his children. He liked black cats and loved to sing off key. He enjoyed building things with his hands, helping people, and painting and building birdhouses.

He is survived by his father; Sam Cornett Sr., his Mother and Stepfather; Drusilla and Kermit Mounce of Somerset, KY., One son; Jacob Drew Cornett of Somerset, KY., two daughters; Alissa Nicole Cornett and Sierra Cheyenne Cornett, both of Louisville, KY., three brothers; Charles (Cheri) Bolin Jr. of Somerset, KY., Robert (Suzi) Bolin of Somerset, KY., and Sam (Lori) Cornett Jr. of Detroit, MI., and many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles.

Visitation will be on Wednesday October 1, 2014 after 11am in the Chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be held on Wednesday October 1, 2014 at 4pm in the Chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home with Brother Raymond Ridner officiating.
