Bobby Joe Spears, age 56 of Jamestown, KY passed away on Monday September 8, 2014 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.
He was born on July 19, 1958 to the late Lawrence Edwin and Jewell Phyllestine Burdine Spears.Bobby attended the Church of God in Columbia, KY.
He enjoyed playing cards and pool, fishing, and was a big time Dallas Cowboy’s Fan.
He is preceded in death by his parents; Lawrence and Jewell Spears. One sister; Sandra Gail Watson, and one brother-in-law; Garron Lee Watson.
He is survived by his son; Trevor Spears of Russell Springs, KY. One daughter; Katie Spears of Russell Springs, KY. Three brothers; Tommy Allen (Leigh) Spears of Somerset, KY, Ronald Lawrence Spears of Crawfordsville, IN. and Gary Wayne Spears of Richmond, KY. Three sisters; Kaye Spears of Somerset, KY, Connie Sue (Kenny) Randolph of Crawfordsville, IN and Bonnie (Frankie) Hall of Jacksonville, NC. A niece and nephew; Lori Gail and Brian Lee Watson. One grandchild; Maci Foley and many Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins.
Visitation will be held on Thursday September 11, 2014 after 6pm in the chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home.
Funeral Service will be held on Friday September 12, 2014 at 11am in the chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home with Brother Joseph Payne officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Bobby Joe Spears Memorial Fund at Southern Oaks Funeral Home.
