Michelle Sutherland (Wicker), age 46, passed away at the Hospice of Dayton, Dayton, Ohio on Thursday, August 7, 2014, embraced in the love of her family. Michelle was born, January 12, 1968, in Norwalk, Ohio to Clyde and Shirley Wicker. She is survived by her beloved husband, Mike; her parents, Clyde and Shirley Wicker and her sisters, Angelia Wicker and Lisa Grimes, as well as many beloved family and friends. Michelle will be especially remembered for her incredible love of her fur babies, Mr. Grimm, Stratus, Montana, Toonces and Cirius. She was preceded in death by Maleen, Sissy and Nimbus. Michelle and Mike are members of Saint Francis of Assisi in Dayton, Ohio. In Michelle’s professional life her great passion was her work with the elderly as an Activities Director. Michelle’s giving spirit was expressed to so many through her jewelry making, painting, memory books, and so much more. Her spirit of adventure rose to the heights and depths of Geocaching, as well as target shooting, camping, water activities, gardening and traveling. Her capacity to love and her charming wit will be cherished and missed by all she touched. The family wishes to express their deepest thanks and gratitude to the wonderful staff at the Cardiac ICU of Miami Valley Hospital of Dayton, Ohio and to the Hospice of Dayton in Dayton, Ohio. Visitation will be held on Sunday August 10, 2014 from 3pm until 6pm and again on Monday August 11, 2014 from 5pm until 9pm in the Chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday August 12, 2014 at 1pm in the Chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Southern Oaks Cemetery. Southern Oaks Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
