Betty Iona Troxtle, age 86 of the Slate Branch community, passed from this life on September 20, 2026 in the presence of her loved ones.
Betty was born on December 27, 1939 to the late Robert & Emma Stringfield in Robbins, Tennessee.
She was of the Baptist faith. She loved Tennessee & Kentucky Basketball, Gospel Music, cross stitching, sewing, crossword puzzles, clipping & saving recipes.
Along with her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest (Jack) Troxtle, Son: Earnest (Ernie) Troxtle, son in laws: Jimmy Poynter & David Wolf, sisters: Elizabeth Stringfield, Flonnie Gibson, Gloria Buchanan, and Brenda Webb.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her daughters: Phyllis Poynter, Brenda Carrier, Joyce Wolf, Mary Troxtle (Larry Light), daughter in law: Beverly Troxtle, brothers & sisters: Ella Jeffers, Mary Hall, Persia Fogg, Sam Stringfield, Jerry Stringfield, grandchildren & great-grandchildren: Kristy Taylor, Jayden Taylor, Shawna Thorton, Jason Carrier, Aleigha Carrier, Western Carrier, Crystal Wolf (Daniel Karriker), David Wolf Jr (Erin), Derek Fuson (Tristan Collett), Destiny Weston, Joe Wolf, Sara Wolf, Seth Wolf, Curtis Troxtle (Denine Liner), Nick Troxtle, Cierra Wesley (Kevin), Blake Troxtle, Easton Wesley, Coraline Wesley, Josh Troxtle, Autumn Carreras (Joe), Savannah Carreras, Lainey Carreras, Julian Carreras, Raegan Sellers, Colton Sellers, Christy Joseph & Several others that she considered family.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 24, 2026 from 11am to 1pm in the Southern Oaks Funeral Home Chapel with funeral services to being at 1pm with Bro. David Harmon officiating. Burial will follow at Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery in Kidder, Wayne County, KY.
