Gayla Faye Mink Alton age 56 of Somerset, Ky. passed away Friday July 18, 2014 at the Continue Care Hospital in Corbin, Ky.
She was born on December 7, 1957 in Rockcastle Co. to the Late Lanceford and Wilma June Renner Mink.
Gayla was a former seamstress for Palm Beach Co. She enjoyed family gatherings, cooking out, the outdoors, being with her family and spoiling her dogs Princess and Zeus. She also appreciated her special caregivers at Continue Care Baptist Health Hospital.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Lanceford and Wilma Mink.
She is survived by one son, Dustin Alton of Somerset, Ky. and two daughters, Jennifer (Tom Hoffer Sr.) and Tracy Tarter both of Somerset, Ky. One brother, Lanny Mink of Milford, Ohio and one sister, Twila (Mike) Lee of Somerset, Ky. Also survived by her grandchildren, Kevin Wallace, Michael (Nichole) Wallace, David (Rhonda) Wallace, Chrissa Canada and Cassie Canada and several great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday July 22, 2014 after 11am in the Chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday July 22, 2014 at 2pm in the Chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home with Bro. Tim Renner officiating.
Burial will follow in the Hibbards Cemetery in Rockcastle Co. Ky.
Pallbearers will be Bobby Perkins, Kevin Wallace, Michael Wallace, David Wallace, Dustin Alton and Jesse Canada.
