Clifford Floyd, age 85 of Cincinnati, Ohio and formerly of Nancy, Ky. passed away on Tuesday July 15, 2014 in Cincinnati, Ohio.

He was born on September 2, 1928 in the Delmer Community of Pulaski Co. Ky. to the late James Willard “JW” and Winnie Dalton Floyd.

Clifford was a United States Army Veteran and retired from the American Laundry Machinery in Cincinnati, Ohio. He enjoyed gardening, spoiling his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, James “JW” and Winnie Floyd and two brothers, Paul Floyd and Emery Floyd.

He is survived by his wife Fayrene Burton Floyd, whom he married on December 19, 1953 in Nancy, Ky. One son, Clifton Floyd of Clermont, Ohio. Two daughters, Rita (Rod) Reynolds of Clermont, Ohio and Renee (Steve) Corer of Clermont, Ohio. One sister, Faye Wells of Clermont, Ohio. Nephew, Roger (Dania) Godby of Cincinnati, Ohio. He is also survived by two grandchildren, Josh(Debbie) Reynolds and Alisha (Brian) Hillner, and two great-grandchildren, Grady Hillner and Collin Hillner.

Visitation will be held on Saturday July 19, 2014 after 11am in the Chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday July 19, 2014 at 1pm in the Chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home with Bro. David Muse officiating.

Burial will follow in the Lakeside Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Hospice of Cincinnati.
