Vearl Colyer age 87 of Somerset, Ky. passed away on Thursday June 19, 2014 at his residence.
He was born on January 23, 1927 in Somerset, Ky. to the late Ebb and Ora Wright Colyer.
Vearl was of the Baptist faith. He was a United States Army Veteran and retired from Southern Railroad after forty-four years.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Ebb and Ora Colyer and his wife, Helen Ford Colyer.
He is survived by his step-son, Rick Phillipi of Lexington, Ky. and five cousins, Arlene Farmer of Somerset, Ky., Wilda (Jay) Waddle of Ohio, Vola (Lois) Wright of Ohio, Arlene Mofield of Somerset, Ky. and Gertrude Carlton of London, Ky.
Visitation will be held on Saturday June 21, 2014 after 11am in the Chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday June 21, 2014 at 2pm in the Chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home with Bro. Harold Harris officiating.
Burial will be in the Somerset Cemetery.
