Maggie Jane Mounce age 73, of Ferguson, Kentucky passed from this life on Sunday, September 14, 2025 at her home.
Maggie was born on April 22, 1952 to the late Shelby Dave Daniel and Lola West Stewart in Wayne County, Kentucky.
She was of the Baptist faith. She enjoyed traveling, quilting, gardening and flowers. She loved her grandbabies.
Maggie was preceded in death by her husband, Norman Mounce, parents, Shelby Daniel and Lola Stewart, siblings: Lloyd Michael Daniel, Jessie Floyd Walters, James Cosby “Jim” Walters, Frankie Walters, Judy Walters, and a grandson, Joseph “Joe” Allen Hughes.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her children: Donald (Tabatha) Hughes, David (Holli) Hughes, Danny Hughes, Emma Hughes and Barbie Ham; her siblings: Brenda Dee Edmond, William “Bill” (Brenda) Daniel, Lonnie Daniel, Glenn (Bobbie) Walters, her grandchildren: Dustin (Paige) Hughes, Kasey (Patricia) Hughes, Sabrina (Corey) Holbrook, Beth Hughes, Jacob (Betty) Rogers, Caleb (Mekeshia) Rogers, Noah (Riley) Rogers, Ashtyn Dalton, Gaje (Ashley) Hughes, Logan Ham; great-grandchildren: Mickey Cornwell, Korbin Hughes, Samuel Hughes, Cayson Holbrook, Jonah Holbrook, Bradley Rogers, Hudson Rogers and Katherine Rogers; along with a host of nieces and nephews who she loved very much.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 17, 2025 from 1pm-2:30pm in the Chapel of the Southern Oaks Funeral Home with a funeral service to begin at 2:30pm with Bro. Gary Clark officiating. Burial will follow in Grave Hill Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Markee Cancer Center. Southern Oaks Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements for Maggie Jane Mounce.
