Kenneth Gick age 77, of Somerset, Kentucky, passed from this life on Thursday, August 21, 2025 at Hospice of Lake Cumberland.
He was born on January 28, 1948 in Lafayette, Indiana, son of the late Clarence and Glenna Thompson Gick.
Kenneth was an Ordained Minister and enjoyed spreading God’s word through his Facebook account “Highways and Hedges” and tending to his garden. He loved and cherished his family and will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister, Laura Gick. He is survived by his wife, Patricia Sue Kirby; a son, Kenneth Leroy Gick (Debra) of Tennessee; daughters, Jennifer Gick-Walters (John) of Texas, Jodie Neal (Joel) of Indiana, Cynthia Gick-Weaver (James) of Somerset and Mitzi Boling (James) of Indiana; step-son, Wayne Ackerman and step-daughter, Tonia Edwards and their children; brothers, Greg Gick of California and Jeff Gick of Texas; sisters, Denise Cochran of Indiana, Nancy Gick of Texas and Debbie Gick of Texas; grandkids, Andrew Sanchez (Mallory), Jordan Ensminger (Clayton), Krystal Doyle (Zack), Justin Walters (Xenia), Joseph Gilmore, Michael Deaton, Shay Deaton, Nicole Weatherford, Susan Weatherford, Christian Weatherford, Michael Eads, Jean Weaver and Jamicyn Weaver; great-grandkids, Disiree, Christopher, Lucas, Amiyah, Hunter, Holten, Sofia, Greyson, Riley, Adeline, Keylee, Allison, Hayden, Bladen, Brycenn, Bella and Noah.
Visitation will begin at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, August 25, 2025 at Southern Oaks Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday in the Chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home with Bro. Chris Jasper and Bro. Bill Davis officiating. Burial will be in Southern Oaks Cemetery.
