Larry E. Grundy, age 57 of Somerset, Ky. passed away on Friday April 11, 2014 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.
He was born on May 31, 1956 in Scott Co. Tn. to the late Walter and Lessie Roberts Grundy. Larry was of the Christian faith.
He served in the United States Air Force, enjoyed the outdoors, yard work, lawn work, golfing and more than anything loved his dog Jackie.
He is preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Linda Kaye Prather Grundy. Four brothers, Bill Grundy, Roger Grundy, Walter Grundy Jr., Phillip Grundy and one sister, Sue Grundy Neal.
He is survived by four sons, Adam Grundy, Jeremy Grundy, Randy Wheet and Rodney Wheet, all of Somerset, Ky. Three daughters, Misty (Pearl) Campbell of Somerset, Ky., Shawn (Greg) Howell of Somerset, Ky. and Loretta Wheet of Burnside, Ky. One sister, Joyce Hutchinson of Tn. His grandchildren, Whitney, Jonathon, Christopher, Cortnee, Timmy, Kayla, Nicholas, Latasha and Kevin. Also survived by a close friend, Anthony Hammond of Somerset, Ky.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday April 15, 2014 after 11am in the Memory Chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday April 15, 2014 at 2pm in the Memory Chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home.
Military Honors provided by the American Legion Post #38 Honor Guard.
Burial will follow in the Grave Hill Cemetery.
