David Lee West, age 62 of Somerset, Kentucky, passed from this life on Thursday, July 3, 2025 at Baptist Health in Lexington.
He was born on September 13, 1962 in Monticello, Kentucky, son of Zelma Carendar Cook and the late Robert Lee West.
David enjoyed riding his Harley and spending time with his dog, Blue. He was of the Christian faith and will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Lee West and a brother, Jerry West.
He is survived by his parents, Luther and Zelma Cook of Somerset; three sons, DJ (Chelsee) West of Stanton, Dustin West of Stanton and Joey Conrad of Somerset; brothers, Robert West, Michael (Lori) West, Roger (Deborah) West and Tim Cook all of Somerset; sisters, Linda West and Tammy (Pete) Belitsos of Somerset.
Southern Oaks Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements for David Lee West.
Dave, it’s hard to believe that a person that had so much to live for got taken so soon.
David you will be truly missed, you was such a good friend. I am blessed that I had the chance to know you. God said to be careful how you treat people cause you never know if they are an angel. And you definitely was an angel. See you in Heaven one fine day. Love and miss you.
