Walter James “Jim” Cundiff age 80, of Somerset, Kentucky, passed from this life on Sunday, May 25, 2025 at his home.

Jim was born on October 26, 1944 to the late Joseph Cundiff and Lour Norfleet Cundiff in Somerset, Kentucky.

He attended Burnside First Baptist Church. He enjoyed traveling, especially to the beach and tinkering on small engines. He was an assembly line worker at Tecumseh Products and a shop steward with the IBEW Union. Most of all he loved and cherished his family.

Jimwas preceded in death by his parents and by many brothers and sisters.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife of 54 years, Shirley Cundiff, son Marty Larkin of Somerset, Ky; daughter Tammie Bellar of Cleveland, OH; special grandson, Brannon Bellar of Bardstown; brother Robert Cundiff (Mary) of Ferguson, Ky; along with numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Friday, May 30, 2025 from 11am to 1pm in the Chapel of the Southern Oaks Funeral Home with a funeral service to begin at 1pm. Burial will follow in Woodstock Cemetery. Southern Oaks Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements for Walter James “Jim” Cundiff.
