Larry Eugene Ping, age 45 of Somerset passed away on March 15, 2014 at his residence. Larry was born in Chicago, Illinois on May 20, 1968 to the late Harrison Lee and Juanita Rose Ping. He enjoyed wrestling, watching UK Basketball, and watching Moonshiners. He loved spending time with his friends and family.
Larry leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife, Kathy Marlene Ping, whom he married on January 21, 2006 in Somerset; stepsons, Timmy McMullin of Tateville, Joey Lee Hammock of Bowling Green, and Terry Dewayne Hammock of Monticello; His daughter, Tracy Gregory of Tennessee and step daughter, Kathy Lewis of Tateville; brothers, Russell (Wanda) Rose of Eubank, Bruce (Debbie) Rose of Eubank, Ricky Joe Ping of Joliet, Illinois, and Michael Douglas Ping of Florida; sister, Elizabeth Caldwell of Russell Springs; grandchildren, Alissa Lewis and Alexa Lewis; Along with a special granddaughter, Cheyanne King; And a host of nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother Robert Wayne Ping.
Visitation for Mr. Ping will be Thursday March 20, 2014 at 5 P.M. in the Chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be Friday March 21, 2014 at 1 P.M. with Bro. Bradley Goforth officiating. Interment will follow in the Bronston Cemetery. Sammy Bruce, Kenny Bruce, Joey Hammock, Jeremy Strong, Terry Hammock, Timothy McMullin, Danny Worley, Deroy Conaster will be serving as active pallbearers.
