Doris Cook Meece, age 67, of Somerset passed away Friday April 5, 2013 at her residence. She was born September 3, 1945 in Somerset Kentucky to William McKinley Cook. Doris was a member of Dripping Springs Baptist Church. She was a wonderful person and a loving mother.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory, Her sons, Marty(Bobbie) Meece, William(Susan) Meece, Voicy(Jessica) Meece, and Alvin(Cheri) Meece. Daughters, Tina(Tony) Boyer, and Ola Faye Molen. She had three brothers, Floyd Cook, Glenn Cook, Andrew Cook, And Curtis Cook; three sisters, Eutta Cook, Eileen Perkins, Wanda Hair, and Lena Wells. She also leaves behind 9 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death with her Mother Mary Branscum Cook and her sister Eva Hall.
Visitation will be Sunday April 7, 2013 after 10 am. at Southern Oaks Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted April 7, 2013 at 2 pm in the Chapel of Southern Oaks with Dr. Greg Ryan officiating. Interment will be in the Neeleys Creek Cemetery
