Donna Hinkle, age 61, of Burnside, KY passed away on Saturday February 22, 2014 at the Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville, TN.
She was born on February 14, 1953 in Burnside, KY to the late James and Kathleen Flynn Walden.
Donna was a member of the First Baptist Church of Burnside, worked for Wal-Mart for 36 years and was a graduate of Burnside High School in 1971. She enjoyed spending time at the beach, watching UK Basketball, spoiling her granddaughters, shopping, watching mud bogging and crocheting.
She is preceded in death by her parents and a nephew, Dwight Helton, Jr.
She is survived by her husband, Vola “Toby” Hinkle, whom she married on July 24, 1970 in Burnside, KY. One son, James Ray (Angel) Hinkle of Bronston, KY. One daughter, Teana Nicole (Joey Cambron) Hinkle of Burnside, KY. One brother, J.C. (JoAnn) Walden of Bronston, KY. One sister, Betty Jane (Dwight) Helton of Danville, KY and many others who were like sisters, Emma Branum of Bronston, KY, Linda (Leroy) Goldson of Burnside, KY, Sheila Hansford of Somerset, KY and Delora Tibblas of Oneida, TN. Also survived by four granddaughters, Logan Paige Hinkle, Jordan Elizabeth Hinkle, Cydney Jade Hinkle, Raylee Jo Cambron and several nieces and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday February 26, 2014 after 6pm in the Chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday February 27, 2014 at 1pm in the Chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home with Bro. Clyde Strunk officiating.
Burial will follow in the Burnside Cemetery.
