Brenda Bray, age 82, of Somerset, Kentucky, passed from this life on Saturday, December 28, 2024 at Somerset Nursing and Rehab.

Brenda was born on May 1, 1942 to the late Willis McQueary and Ollie Simpson McQueary in Russell Springs, Kentucky.

She was a member of Community Harvest Church of God. She loved to cook, tend to her flowers, most of all she cherished her grandkids.

Brenda was preceded in death by her husband, William “Bill” Bray, her parents, Willis and Ollie McQueary, brothers: Leonis, Linville, William, Orvin, Jay, Leslie and an infant brother, sisters: Marybell, May and Flora

She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her sons: Barry (Rosemary) Bray of Somerset, Ky; Bruce (Kimberly) Bray and Brian (Charlotte) Bray all of Bronston, Ky; sisters Susy (Glenville) Burton and Ray Dean (Calvin) Lunsford, grandchildren: Rebecca (Jay) Herron of Lexington, Ky; Cori (DJ) Lipscomb of Pine Hurst, NC; Jacob Bray, Jared Bray, Alanna Bray and Camrynn Bray of Bronston, Ky; Kinsley Perkins, Ethan Perkins, Larissa Perkins, Bryson Perkins, Joshua (Joni) Walters of Somerset, Ky; Chad (Amber) Walters of Somerset, Ky; Cheyenne (Codi) Bray of Whitley City, Ky; along with numerous great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Monday, January 6, 2025 from 11am to 1pm in the Chapel of the Southern Oaks Funeral Home with a funeral service to begin at 1pm with Bro. Johnny Dunbar officiating. Burial will follow in Lakeside Memorial Gardens.
