Shirley Reynolds, age 89, of Ferguson, Kentucky, passed from this life on Tuesday, October 1, 2024 at her home.
Shirley was born December 20, 1934 to the late James Hislope and Mary Baker Garland in Shafter, Kentucky.
She was of the Nazarene faith. She loved to raise flowers, garden, really loved Christmas and cherished her family.
Shirley was preceded in death by her husbands, Willard Troxtell and Thomas Reynolds, her parents, James Hislope and Mary Garland, daughter, Barbara Troxtell, brothers: James Hislope, Cornelius Baker and Earl Denny Hislope, sisters: Lucille Brassfield and Francis Garland.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her son, James Ralph Troxtell (Brenda) of Lagrange, OH; daughter: Betty Bach (Gilbert) of Somerset, KY; brother, Lowell Garland of Eubank, KY; sisters: Mary Strunk of Lexington, KY; Edna Root of Somerset, KY; grandchildren, Mark Schrull (Emily), George Schrull (Kim), great-grandchildren: Haley Schrull and Jakob Schrull.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 7, 2024 from 11am to 1pm in the Chapel of the Southern Oaks Funeral Home with a funeral service to begin at 1pm with Bro. Kevin Hampton officiating. Burial will follow in Somerset Cemetery.
