Victoria Hope Somers (Vickie), age 65 passed away on March 5, 2024, in Somerset, Kentucky. She is survived by two beautiful daughters, Monica and Mikaela, grandson Winston Hand, her mother, Eva Somers, two sisters, Linda and Mary, and predeceased by her father, Richard Somers.   Victoria was a force of nature, intelligent, strong, and hard to control. Victoria was a star athlete and Valedictorian of her high school, and thereafter graduated from U.C. San Diego, where she studied comparative literature.  Victoria spoke several languages and worked as an interpreter, when she was not making people laugh (and sometimes cry). Vickie had a big heart and was filled with love though she did not always understand how much she was loved by her family, church, and community, often flying far and fast from those who cared the most for her.   We know that “all is well with her soul” and has joined her heavenly father to joyously to continue her journey flying or running hand in hand with Jesus. Vickie’s celebration of life will take place in California where she was raised.
