James P. Bray age 53, of Bronston, Kentucky passed from this life on Friday, December 22, 2023 at his home.

James was born on February 22, 1970 to the late Kenneth Bray and Mary Diana Miles Bray in Oberlin, Ohio.

He was of the Baptist faith. He enjoyed trading, flea marketing, yard sales and spending time with family and friends.

James was preceded in death by his parents Kenneth and Mary Bray, son Joseph Ray Bray and brother, Virgil Bray.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his son, James Nathan Bray (Veronica Cox) of Bronston, Ky; daughter, Corina Sowders (Richard J.) of Somerset, Ky; brothers, Stony E. Hotop of Tateville, Ky; Kenneth Bray of Somerset, Ky; sister, Nanie Dionna Carter of Somerset, Ky; like a son, Dalton Thomas (Marissa Auxier) of Bronston, Ky; grandchildren, Zoey Cox, Kegan Cox, Emma Bray, Malachi Bray, Brantley Sowders, Charles Sowders; like a granddaughter, Kinslee Thomas; along with numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 30, 2023 at 11am in the Chapel of the Southern Oaks Funeral Home with a funeral service to begin at 12pm. Burial will follow in Quinton Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the James Bray Memorial Fund. Southern Oaks Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements for James P. Bray.
