Jesus called Rose Russell, 89, to Heaven Friday evening, September 27 in the Hospice Care Center at St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington, KY.
She was the daughter of Edward and Mabel Sagiom Gallagher. She was born July 28, 1924 in Greensburg, Pennsylvania.
She married William Julian Russell in Somerset, KY January 25, 1946.
She is survived by Son, Mitchell Paul Russell, of Cincinnati; Daughter, Linda Russell Barker, of Lexington, and Son, Thomas William Russell, of Somerset; Six Grandchildren, Mitchell Paul Russell, Jr., Joy Linn Barker Cheek, Lesley Erin Russell Carroll, Morgan Leigh Russell Hughes, Shelby Linn Russell, and William Seth Russell; Great Grandchildren, Megan Nicole Russell, Jacob Aaron Russell, Emma Rose Hughes, Blake Elliott Carroll and Julian Isaiah Carroll.
Rose retired from Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital and was a faithful long time member of East Somerset Baptist Church. She was a very loving Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother and Aunt and was an amazing Christian example. Her life was devoted to her Lord, her church and her family.
Visitation is at East Somerset Baptist Church, Tuesday, October 1, 2013 11:00am to 2:00pm with the Funeral Service following at 2:00pm.
Burial will immediately follow in the Sears Cemetery on East 80. Officiants: Brother Darvie Fenison and Brother Danny Pace.
