Matt Secen Sr. Age 89 of Somerset, Ky. and formerly of Cincinnati, Ohio passed away on Friday September 27, 2013 at his home.
He was born on September 26, 1924 in Cary, Bell County, Kentucky to the late Vincent and Dora Belle Patterson Secen.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting, cutting grass and traveling. Proudly served his country in the Navy during World War 11. He was of the Church of God faith.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife Anna Marie Lefevers Secen whom he married on October 28, 1950 in Arjay, Kentucky. Three sons, Arnold V. (Barabara) Secen, Ronnie (Debbie) Secen and Danny R. (Loretta) Secen all of Cincinnati, Ohio. Five daughters, Maureen Hughes of Somerset, Ky., Deborah S. Secen of Somerset, Ky., Sandra S. (Kim) Gadberry of Cincinnati, Ohio, Sharon D. Secen of Cincinnati, Ohio and Alisia J. (Roger) Reese of Utah. Also surviving are 19 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents. Two sons, Clell Secen and Matt Secen Jr. Four brothers, Caleb Smallwood, Lloyd Smallwood, Elbert Secen and George Secen and one sister, Martha Smallwood.
Visitation will be held Wednesday October 2, 2013 from 10am-1pm in the Chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday October 2, 2013 at 1pm in the Chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home with Bro. Bill Dawson officiating.
Burial will follow in Lakeside Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
