Lois Mize Age 75 of Somerset passed away Saturday Aug. 24, 2013 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.
She was born August 19, 1938 in Whetstone, Ky. to the late Melvin and Thelma Bradley Hargis.
She was a member of Pleasant Run Baptist Church, Shopville Class of 1957 and a retired custodian for the Pulaski Co. Board of Education. She enjoyed quilting, spending time with family, cooking and flowers.
She is preceded in death by her parents. A son, Mark Anthony Mize, two brothers, Norman and Sidgle Hargis.
She is survived by her husband Bobby Mize, whom she married May 3, 1958 in East Somerset Community, and her beloved dog, Pippin. A son, Jeffrey Dale (Anna) Mize of Slate Branch Community, sister in law, Bertha Hargis of Somerset, brother, Noel Hargis of Sugar Hill Community, sister, Arlene (Marvis) Taylor of Somerset. Grandchildren, Miranda (Ben) Mize Hunt, Caitlin (Johnathan Hunt) Mize and Trevor Mize. Great-grandchildren, Owen Hunt and Maverick Hunt.
Visitation will be held Sunday Aug. 25, 2013 from 3pm-6pm in the Chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral.
Funeral Services will be held Monday Aug. 26, 2013 at 11am in the Chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home with Bro. Kevin Bullock officiating.
Burial will be in the Mize Cemetery.
