Wanda Wilson Age 83, of Somerset, Ky. went home to be with the Lord on Monday May 13, 2013 at Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville, Tn.
She was born July 16, 1929 in Sloans Valley, Ky., daughter of the late Orland and Evelyn Helton Wallace.
She was a member of Tateville Baptist Church.
She is survived by five children, sons, Marvin and (wife Rhonda) of Strunk, Ky., Terry and (wife Brenda) of Bronston, Ky., Creston and (wife Reda) of Somerset, Ky., Kenneth and (wife Legina) of Richmond, Ky., and daughter Paula Vanhook and (husband Steve Eichholz) of Bowling Green, Ky.
Nine grandchildren, Stephen, Joey, Travis, Chris, Ryan and Derek Wilson, Felicia and Taylor Vanhook and Lauren Wilson.
Brother in laws, Jimmy and (wife Janie) and Harold Wilson all of New Castle, In.
Sister in laws, Margaret Wallace of Somerset, Ky., Joyce and (husband A.J.) of New Castle, In., Brenda and (husband Jerry) of Bronston, Ky., June Dobbs of New Castle, In., Faye and (husband Jim) Daily of Keno, Ky., Sue Johnston and June Wilson of New Castle, In.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Arthur Stevie Wilson, brother, Don Wallace and sisters Helen McClane and Mildred Gibson. A granddaughter, Taiann Wilson and sister in laws Juanita Wilson and Mallie Kidd.
Also survived by 7 great grandchildren.
Visitation Thursday May 16, 2013 after 5pm in the Chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home.
Funeral Service Friday May 17, 2013 at 1pm with Bro. Ulanda Price and Bro. Troy Merrick officiating in the Chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home.
Burial will follow in the Mill Springs National Cemetery in Nancy, Ky.
The family requests in lieu of flowers that donations be made to American Diabetes Association or American Cancer Society.
