Lawrence “Larry” Allen Pehrson, Age 79 of Mountain View Dr. Somerset, Ky., passed away Friday May 24, 2013 at his residence .
He was born November 22, 1933 in Detroit, Michigan to the late George and Anna Wallner Pehrson.
He was a member of Oak Hill Baptist Church, retired Butcher Manager for A&P, proudly served in the United States Navy. Enjoyed the Children’s Ministry, Church Choir and all types of sports.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Fern Downey Pehrson, whom he married July 3, 1975 in Michigan.
A Brother, Charles and (Phyllis) Pehrson of Michigan, brother in laws, Charles Downey and ( Carole) of Highland, Michigan, Donald and (Connie) of Downey of Somerset, Ky., and Darrell and (Louanne) Downey of Sterling Heights, Michigan. Sister in laws, Margie and (Bill) hart of Prescott, Michigan, Estilene Fields of Lexington, Ky. and Sandra and (Joe) Chesney of Chesterfield, Michigan.
He is preceded in death by his parents, bothers George and Robert Pehrson, sisters, Ruth Butler, Dorothy Bouchard and June Pehrson.
Visitation will be Monday May 27, 2013 after 6pm at the Oak Hill Baptist Church.
Funeral Service will be Tuesday May 28, 2013 at 10am at the Oak Hill Baptist Church with
Pastor Gary Phelps and Dr. Harold Brown officiating.
Burial will follow in the Mill Springs National Cemetery with Full Military Honors provided by the American Legion Post #38 Military Honor Guard.
