Robert “Swig” Sullivan, age 83, of Burnside, Kentucky, passed away Sunday, April 21, 2013 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital, Somerset, Kentucky. He was born to the late Robert Sullivan Sr. and Laura Brumley Sullivan. Robert was a truck driver, enjoyed gardening, fishing, and liked to hang out with family and friends and was always laughing. He was of the Baptist faith.
Robert leaves to mourn his passing his sons, Teddy Jr. (Linda) Sullivan, of Burnside, Kentucky, Buster (Patricia) Sullivan of Indiana; daughters, Connie Nicholas (Jerry deceased) of Burnside, Kentucky, and Glenna (Jeff) Medaugh of Somerset, Kentucky; nine grandchildren, Jennifer, Robin, Brian, Suzie, Robert, Carolyn, Thomas, Andrea and Megan; fifteen great grandchildren, Jerrica, Jesi, Dillan, Taylor, Haley, Tayln, Nicholas, Alona, Ethan, Lauren, Leaha, Kitlynn, Emily, Carrie and Mason; and one great-great grandchild, Kayalin.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, Gladys Jean Lowe Sullivan, his second wife, Agnes Adams Sullivan; one daughter, Brenda Sullivan; and several brothers.
Visitation for Mr. Sullivan will be Wednesday, April 24, 2013 at 12:00 pm in the Chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be Wednesday, April 24, 2013, at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home with Brother David Muse officiating.
Burial will be in the Burnside Cemetery.
