Ronald Whitaker, age 76 of Burdine Valley passed away on Saturday February 16, 2013 at his residence. He was born on November 24, 1936 to the late Walter and Pearl Burdine Whitaker in Burdine Valley. Mr. Whitaker enjoyed gardening, traveling, outdoors, visiting with friends, and spending time with his grandchildren. He was of the pentecostal faith.
Mr. Whitaker leaves behind to cherish his memory, daughter, Melena (Roger) Adkins of Burdine Valley; step son, Artman Ballou of Lorian, Ohio; step daughter, Theressa Howard; brothers, Jerry (Wanda) Whitaker of Burdine Valley ; sister, Norma Carlton of Indiana; grandchildren, Amber, Joseph, Summer, Savanna, Kayla and Shelby; great grandchildren, Kaylee, Katleyn, Taylynn, Jace; Wanda Ballou; several nieces, nephews, cousins, many many friends and one special cousin, Gene Whitaker;
He is preceded in death by his parents; infant brother, Carlos Whitaker; brothers, Marlin and Scoble Whitaker; sister, Orpha Adkins; fiancee, Janet Whitaker;
Visitation for Mr. Whitaker will be Tuesday February 19, 2013 at 6 P.M. in the Chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday February 20 ,2013 at 2 P.M. with Bro. Kevin Bullock officiating. Interment will follow in the Whitaker Cemetery.
