Listen to the Obituary
Nona and Earl (Butch) Stone lived 39 happily married years together before they both were called home this December. Nona’s life ended on December 9th after a long battle with cancer. Butch having loved Nona with all his heart, passed peacefully at home in his sleep only 8 days later. Butch was born on October 3rd, 1955. He is survived by his brother Jaimie Stone, his wife Brenda, his son Jeremy Stone and his wife Sabreena. 4 grandchildren, and 2 nephews. Nona, who was born April 1st, 1951, is survived by her daughter Lynn Roldan, two sons now passed, and 10 grandchildren. The life they built together honored one another. Their hobbies included many adventures of riding their Harleys together, cooking, and their involvement in donating to toys for tots. With great comfort in knowing they are together again, in peace and pain free, our families have now come together to say goodbye. Goodbye to two people who genuinely loved one another and who so graciously loved others as well. Southern Oaks Funeral Home was entrusted with the arrangements for Nona and Earl (Butch) Stone.
I am sorry to just now hear of Butch an Nonas passing I live in Las Vegas nv where we became friends he was my best man at my wedding and that may have been the only time butch wore a tux. We had many adventures together before he moved back to Kentucky and sadly lost contact. I thought of them often he was such a rough character but when it came to Nona a real softy. Nina went through so much and through it all Butch was by her side. I will alway remember you both fondly, your friend, Tim
