Zula “Wilma” Baker, age 79, of Woodstock passed away on Wednesday January 30, 2013 at her residence. Mrs. Baker was born on March 4, 1933 in Flat Rock, Kentucky to the late Luther and Rosemary Roberts Keith. Ms. Baker enjoyed flowers, gardening, birds especially hummingbirds, and quilting. She loved her family and grandchildren. She was of the Baptist faith.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her husband, Harold Baker, whom she married on May 10, 1947 in Georgia; sons, Ronald ( Madeline) Baker of Burnside, Mike (Marlys) Baker of Marion, Indiana, Timothy Baker of Woodstock, Mark (Betty) Baker of Woodstock; daughters, Kathi Hargis of Woodstock, and Patsy (Dan) Purtee of Marion, Indiana; brothers, Noell Keith of White Lily, Noah (Diana) Keith of Sloans Valley, Norbert Keith of Bronston; sisters, Ernie (Conley) Conaster of Alpine and Maudie (Ed) Helton of Sloans Valley; seventeen grandchildren, thirty great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents; sister, Deannie Conaster, Lela Street, Nola Sears, Lucille Keith; brothers, Herman Keith, Lowell Keith, Lloyd Keith, Odie Keith, and Arnold Austin Keith.
Visitation for Mrs. Baker will be Friday February 1, 2013 at 5 P.M. in the Chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Saturday February 2, 2013 at 1 P.M. in the Chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home with Bro. Donovan Burton officiating. Interment will follow in the Sloans Valley Cemetery. The family would like to thank hospice and home healthcare.
