Georgia Juanita Toney, age 92 of Burnside, KY passed away Thursday December 5, 2013 at her residence. She was born on January 7, 1921 in Sloans Valley, KY to the late Mose and Anna Lee Burton Godsey. Georgia was a retired nurse from Oakwood and a member of Tateville Church of God. She enjoyed music and was a people person. Preceded in death by her parents. Her husband, Theodore Paul Toney. Four sons, Jerry Wendell Toney, Hershel H. Henderson, Theodore Paul Toney Jr. and Madison Lee Toney. One daughter, Debra Kay Nunemaker. One brother, Albert Godsey. Three sisters, Christine Hartley, Maxine Godsey and Louise Turner. Two grandchildren, Randall Toney and Heath Toney. Survived by one daughter, Anita Toney Troxtell. Fifteen grandchildren, thirty-one great-grandchildren and twenty-one great-great-grandchildren. Also surviving are her special friends and caregivers at Hospice of Lake Cumberland. Visitation will be held on Saturday December 7, 2013 after 5pm at the Southern Oaks Funeal Home. Funeral Services will be held on Sunday December 8, 2013 at 2pm in the Chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home with Bro. Roger Dykes officiating. Pallbearers will be Joshua Toney, Joshua Gleason, Darren Toney, Tracey Toney, Daniel Toney, Casey Toney, Juanita Toney and Rhonda Anderson. Burial will be in the Tateville Cemetery.
