Reva Combs, age 71, of Burnside passed on Tuesday December 4, 2012 at Oak Tree Hospital in Corbin, Kentucky. She was born in Hazard, Kentucky on May 19, 1941 to the late Bayless and Goldie Smith Brewer. She was of the Baptist of the faith. She also enjoyed her grandchildren, shopping, and eating out.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory, sons, Jeffery (Amy) Combs, Tony (Vanessa) Combs of Grayson, Kentucky, and Frankie Rivera; daughters, Charlotte (Rick) Sylvester of Woodstock, Illinois, Debbie (Bob) Shield of Wauconda, Illinois, Loretta Combs (Louie LaCortiaglia) of Burnside, Kentucky; brothers , Bob Brewer of Texas, Gary Brewer of California; Sisters; Nancy Brewer of California, Sharon Campbell of Hazard, Vickie Ritchie of Hazard, Ky, Virginia Combs of Ohio, Charlotte (John) Stacey of Hazard; grandchildren, Danielle, Isaac, Brittney, Courtney, Lydia, Delilah, Justin, Austin; great grandchildren, Victoria, Trinity, and Mason. Along with a host of other friends, family, and loved ones.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Curtis Combs who she married in September 1956 in Hazard; her parents; sisters, Geneva Jones and Linda Campbell; brothers, Tony Brewer and Junior Brewer.
There will be a celebration of Life on Saturday December 8, 2012. Visiting hours will be from 12-2 P.M. in the Chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home. Services will follow at 2 P.M.
