Paul Edsel Mize passed away Sunday, December 16, 2012, at his residence in Somerset. He was born in Dahl, KY on August 15, 1925, to the late William Arthur and Minnie Harris Mize.
He retired from Hinkle Contracting Company, Paris, KY after 30 years of employment. Paul was a member of Pleasant Run Baptist Church, Stab, KY.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Frances and two daughters, Judy Kay Burdine (David) and Cathy Patrice Mize, all of Somerset. He had one granddaughter, Cathy Suzanne Jose’ (Brian) and a great granddaughter, Alice Corynn Jose’, whom he adored. Paul is also survived by a very loving brother, Fred Mize, and his family, of Greenwood, IN.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents, an infant son, Paul Jeffrey, four sisters and three brothers.
Visitation will be held at Southern Oaks Funeral Home on Tuesday, December 18TH from 9:00 A.M- 11:30 A.M. Funeral Services will follow after visitation at 11:30 A.M. with Bro. Ron Barnett officiating. Burial will be in the Mize Cemetery at Stab, Ky.
