Wanda V Baker, age 84, of Nancy, Kentucky passed away on Thursday November 15, 2012 at her residence. She was born in Delmer, Kentucky to the late Banuel and Versie Dalton Burton on August 23, 1928. She was member of the Delmer Nazarene Church. She enjoyed quilting, photography, gardening, her rose bushes and riding on the back of her son’s bike.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory, son, Romeo (Glenda) Baker of Nancy; brother,Daniel (Ollie) Burton of Ohio; sister, Mary Ann Garrison of Ohio; grandchildren, Bobbie Gamboe, April Dewitt, Gina Poncar, Dawn Milka, and Michelle Daniels; sixteen great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Orville Baker who she married on October 7, 1944 in Pulaski County; brother, Simmace Burton and Jimmy Dale Norfleet.
Visitation for Mrs. Baker will be Sunday November 18, 2012 at 7 P.M. in the Chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home. There will also be a visitation at 10 A.M. at the Delmer Nazerne Church on Monday November 19, 2012. Funeral Services will follow Monday at the Delmer Nazerne Church at 11 A.M. Interment will follow in the Fairview Cemetery.
