Jerry Wayne Nicholas, age 59, of Burnside, Kentucky passed away on Thursday October 4, 2012 at his residence. He was of the Baptist faith and proudly served in the United States Army. Mr. Nicholas enjoyed deer hunting, riding four wheelers, fishing, hanging out with his buddies and sitting in his garage.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory, beloved wife, Connie Jean Sullivan Nicholas whom he married on February 22, 1975 in Jellico, Tennessee; his parents, Ganzie Lee and Anna Mae Paris Nicholas; daughters, Jennifer Helton, and Robin (Jody) Young; brothers, Terry Lynn (Carrie) Nicholas, Buddy Nicholas, Michael (Tina) Nicholas, Johnny (Urslasa) Nicholas, and Eddie Dean (Patty) Nicholas. Sisters, Regina Langdon, Sharon (Rodney Dalton), Linda Sullivan and Ann Toney; seven grandchildren, Jessica Shadoan, Jerrica Shadoan, Dillan Shadoan, Taylor Nicholas, Haley Young, Jalyin Young, and Billy Davis; one great grandchild, Khilynn Davis; sister in law, Ruth Ann Nicholas; several nieces, nephews, and many cousins.
He also had several special friends including, George Helton, Jerry Hargis, Buddy Langdon, Steve Flegman, Harold Poe, Wayne Strunk and Carl Phelps.
Mr. Nicholas was preceded in death by his brother, Ganzie Nicholas JR; son in law, Jamie Shadoan; Nephew, Randall Toney; sister in law, Brenda Wallace Nicholas.
Visitation for Jerry Wayne Nicholas will be Sunday October 7, 2012 after 6 P.M. in the Chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be conducted October 8th at 2 P.M. with Bro. Roger Dykes officiating. Graveside services will be Tuesday October 9th at 1:30 P.M. at Mill Springs National Cemetery.
