William Leonidas Weddle, age 68 of Nancy, Kentucky went to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, September 17, 2012 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.
He was born on November 23, 1943 in Faubush, Kentucky the son of the late Amos and Eula (Roberts) Weddle. He was a faithful member of the Okalona Baptist Church, where he served as Sunday school director. He was also a dedicated church worker who was willing to be of service whenever needed. He was kind and considerate husband, father and papa. He was a farmer and a carpenter.
Mr. Weddle is survived by his wife of 47 years, Deloris (Dishman) Weddle; two daughters, Melissa (and Rick) McClendon and Denise (and Jimmy) Lane; three grandchildren, William Justin Lane (and Fiancée Megan), Megan Rose McClendon, and Hannah Nicole Lane all of Nancy. Two brothers, Ellis (and Betty) Weddle, G.E. (and Lucille) Weddle; sister, Della ( and Lervie) Dalton; sisters in law, Marcella Sumpter, Nancy (and Ivan) Burton and Diana Keith, all of Nancy; brother in law, Willie (and Joyce) Dishman of Richmond, Kentucky.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one infant brother.
He leaves many more friends and relatives to mourn his passing.
Visitation for Mr. Weddle will be held Wednesday September 19th at 5 P.M. in the Chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be conducted Thursday September 20th at 1 P.M. in the Chapel of Southern Oaks with Bro. John Zupancic and Bro. Rollin Bradshaw officiating. Interment will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the Gideon Memorial Bible Plan.
