Betty A. Rees, 76, of Bronston passed away Tuesday September 4th at her residence. She was born on January 28, 1936 in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Roy and Sue Jolly. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Bronston and the author of Beauregard Blue. She enjoyed gardening, mowing the lawn, yard work, crocheting and being with her family. She also enjoyed watching U.K and U Of L basketball and football.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory, sons, Michael A. (Kathy) Rees of the Oaks Hill Community and Robert P. Rees of Ferguson; daughters, Michele L. (Kenneth) Hinton of Bowling Green and Martina S. (Clarence Jr.) of Eubank; sister, Rita Fill of Palatine, Illinois; nieces, Angela Mudd and Debbie Horton; nephews, (like a son) Jack Kuchenbrod, Bobby J. Kuchenbrod, Bobby Fill, David Fill, Rick Fill, Doug Fill; grandchildren, Michael (Mikey) Rees, September M. Cowles, Justin T. Rees, Robert P. Rees II, Roxanne T. Rees, and Patrick Pumphrey; great grandchildren, Courtney Rees, Brinkley A. Rees, Taylor Cowles, Tyler Pumphrey and Cali Pumphrey.
She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband William Frank Rees.
Visitation for Ms. Rees will be Thursday September 6, 2012 from 6-8 P.M. Funeral service will be Friday September 7, 2012 at 11 A.M. with Bro. Carter Stewart officiating. Interment will follow at Mill Springs National Cemetery. All services will take place in the Chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home.
