Roy B. Molden, age 65, of the Oak Hill Community passed away Monday August 13, 2012 at his residence. Mr. Molden was born in the Cain Store Community to Robert Dewey and Rova Tarter Molden. He was of the Baptist faith and was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church where he was the former song leader, former Sunday school teacher for the senior class, and former Sunday School superintendent. He was also an active member of the Gideons and his church.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory, wife, Caroline Ping Molden; son, Eric D. (Robin) Molden of Somerset; both of his parents; brother, Robert Lindon (Donna) Molden of Lexington; sister, Donna Mae (Roy) Hunley of Somerset; twin sister, Glenda C. (Quinton) Smith of Lexington; Grandchildren, Jerrad Tyler Molden and Brenna Faith Molden.
Mr. Molden graduated with a bachelor’s degree in science from Campbellsville University. He was a former teacher and assistant basketball coach at Nancy High School. He was also the owner and operator of Roy B’s Auto Mart of Somerset.
Visitation services will be Wednesday August 15th at 6 P.M and after 8 am Thursday. Funeral services will be Thursday August 16th at 2 P.M. with Bro. Don Jones officiating. Interment will follow at Somerset Cemetery. All services will be conducted in the chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers the family request expressions of sympathy be made to the Gideon Memorial Bible Plan.
