Richard Gale Mounce, 68, of Norwood, Ohio passed away on Wednesday, August 1, 2012. Mr. Mounce was born in the Poplarville community of Pulaski County on November 22, 1943 to Orville and Lurlene Sears Mounce.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his sons, Geoffrey C. (Teresa) Mounce of Norwood, Ohio; Rocky (Holly) Carpenter of Loveland, Ohio; sisters, Jean (Wayne) Sumpter of Deer Park, Ohio, Violet (Bill) Brinson, Mt. Carmel, Ohio, Meryle (Bearl) Harris of Norwood, Ohio, Ruby (Jim) Carty of Somerset, Kentucky; grandchildren, Tyler Mounce, Haley Mounce and Christina Carpenter.
Mr. Mounce was preceded in death by his parents, Orville and Lurlene Sears Mounce; brother, Earl Mounce; sister, Gloria Knight.
Mr. Mounce was a member of Poplarville Baptist Church. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, watching television, sitting on the front porch and spending time with his grandchildren.
Visitation will be on Sunday, August 5, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Southern Oaks Funeral Home. Funeral services will be on Sunday, August 5, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at the chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home with Bro. Ron Meece and Bro. Doug Edgers officiating. Interment will be at the Poplarville Cemetery.
