Carol Lynn Whitson age 55, of Somerset, Kentucky passed from this life Wednesday, March 17, 2021 in Somerset.
Carol was born October 1, 1965 to Raymond Meece and Darlene Pandorf Meece in Cincinnati, Ohio.
She was a member of Grace Baptist Church and loved to ride horses, enjoyed outside activities, an active member in her Church and community organizations. She was a host Mom to multiple exchange students.
Carol was preceded in death by her father, Raymond Meece. She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her mother, Darlene Meece, son, Michael Gregory (Angela) of Somerset, brothers, Eric Meece of Covington, Raymond Meece of Monticello, granddaughter, Chloe Gregory, and her beloved extended Whitson family. She will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved her.
Visitation will be held Sunday, March 21, 2021 at 1:30 P.M. at Grace Baptist Church with a funeral service to begin at 3:30 P.M. with Bro. Todd Meadows officiating, burial will follow in Southern Oaks Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to AIM or God’s Food Pantry.
Southern Oaks Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements for Carol Whitson.
So thankful God allowed mine and Carol’s paths to cross. What a light for Jesus she always left. My heart breaks especially for you Mom and the rest of the family and friends. Our loss is Heavens gain! Prayers are yours.

So blessed to be a part of the Meece family, all of my love and prayers go out to family and loved ones, Especially Aunt Darlene. I love ya’ll and so sorry for your loss tho we should rejoice for she is at peace, dancing with her daddy and heavenly father. May we look at her and remember the joy she brought to lives. She was amazing and I will always remember my trips to ky for the summer with papaw he always made sure we saw the family, she was always there with a smile and open arms. I’ll never forget our long walks. May you forever be at peace. With all of my love.
