Myrtle Liford, age 92, of Somerset, Kentucky, passed from this life on Thursday, January 22, 2026 at Hospice of Lake Cumberland.
Myrtle was born on March 11, 1933 to the late Watler Goins and Viney Goins in Manchester, Kentucky.
She was a member of Oak Hill Baptist Church. Her love for God and reading her Bible brought her great peace. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, and was an amazing quilt maker. Her grandbabies were the center of her world, and she loved taking caring for them. She was a great host of family get togethers and will be greatly missed.
Along with her parents, Myrtle was preceded in death by her son, John Landrum, and 1 brother and 8 sisters.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her son Ernie Landrum, daughter Connie Gatio (John) of Somerset, Ky; grandchildren: Jason King (Kimberly), Jermey Landrum (Cynthia), Heath Heatherly (Brittney), Jamie Landrum, Jessie Landrum, Josh Landrum, great-grandchildren: Jalyn King, Addison King, Brooklyn Powell, Sophie Price, Connor Price, Ava Landrum, Trenton Landrum and Kierstyn Landrum.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 29, 2026 from 10am to 12pm in the Chapel of the Southern Oaks Funeral Home with a funeral service to begin at 12pm with Pastor David Holden officiating. Southern Oaks Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements for Myrtle Liford.
