Glen Madison Roy, age 96, of Somerset, Kentucky, passed from this life on Thursday, January 22, 2026 at his home.
Glen was born on October 10, 1929 to the late Millard Roy and Pina Taylor Roy in Possum Trot, Kentucky.
He was a member of Oak Hill Baptist Church. He enjoyed art, painting pictures, mowing, tending to his yard and watching old western. He proudly served his country in the United States Army in the Korean War.
Along with his parents, Glen was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Joanne Price Roy. He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his son Michael Roy (Paula) of Somerset, Ky; daughters: Janet Prather (Michael), Jill Childers, Jerri Roy, Jeana Ricks (Tony), and Julie Coleman (James) all of Somerset, Ky; grandchildren: Michael Childers, Christian Childers, Christopher Prather, Adam Prather, Mikki Minor, Mindy Roy, Nichole Roy, Brooklyn Inglett, Torri Ricks, Aspen Staton, Bethany Snow, Madison Mounce, Harlee Jordan; along with numerous great-grandchildren.
He will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 28, 2026 from 11am to 1pm in the Chapel of the Southern Oaks Funeral Home with a funeral service to begin at 1pm with Bro. Rick Barker officiating. Burial will follow in Lakeside Memorial Gardens.
