Jane F. Dees, age 80, of Bronston, Kentucky, passed from this life on Friday, January 9, 2026 at her home.
Jane was born on October 1, 1945 to the late Percy Holden and Vernie Courken Holden in Bogalusa, Louisiana.
She was of the Baptist faith. She enjoyed computer games, crocheting, playing bingo, tending to her garden, canning food, being outside, and spending time with her grandchildren.
Along with her parents, Jane was preceded in death by her first husband of 20 years, George Walker Sr. of Mantua, NJ and her second husband of 16 years, Barney F. Dees, her daughters and sons-in-law: Cheryl Martus (Sonny) and Barbara Walker (Joe); and 2 grandchildren.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory; daughters: Joan Warlow (Ron) of NC; Debbie Madden (Eric) of Bronston, Ky; Cathy Portalatin (Michael) of Hollywood, FL; Peggy Justice and Monica Mounce (Vola) all of Somerset; Tracy Miller (Rob) also of Bronston; her son, George Walker Jr. (Angie) of Somerset, Ky; along with 24 grandchildren, 42 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 15, 2026 from 1pm-3pm in the Chapel of the Southern Oaks Funeral Home with a funeral service to begin at 3pm. Burial will take place at Southern Oaks Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Jane F. Dees Memorial Fund.
