Noel “Taylor” Davis II, born July 27, 1992, passed away on December 1, 2025, at the young age of 33. To those who loved him most, Taylor was a bright, unforgettable light — a one-of-a-kind soul whose heart, humor, and music left a mark that will never fade.

Taylor was a gifted musician, an extraordinary guitarist, a talented songwriter, and an insanely good vocalist who could sing any genre with ease. Music was woven into every part of his life, and he shared it generously with anyone lucky enough to hear him.

A proud 2010 graduate of Somerset High School, Taylor was also a dedicated athlete. He played football for the Briar Jumpers and was part of the unforgettable State Runner-Up team, an accomplishment he carried with pride.

Most importantly, Taylor professed his faith in Jesus Christ at a young age and became a member of Denham Street Baptist Church, where he found faith, community, and support.

Taylor was his mom’s only child and his dad’s only son — a role he carried with enormous love. He is survived by his parents, Noel Davis of Bronston, Kentucky, and Karen Dykes Davis of Science Hill, Kentucky. He leaves behind three older sisters who absolutely loved him unconditionally: Carla Rigsby and Kelly Ketring (Kent Warrum), both of Pendleton, Indiana, and Jessica Bolin of Somerset, Kentucky, along with his favorite brother-in-law, Dewayne AKA Dee-Wayne Bolin.
He is also survived by his honorary sister, Kelly Steele, who loved him like her own, and his cherished girlfriend, Stephanie Wallace and her girls Lily, Bristol and Milla, who brought joy, love, and laughter into his life.

Taylor became an uncle before he was ever born — first to Brittany Ketring (Micah Stuart) of Spartanburg, SC, and TJ Holloway (Lindsey Craig) of Pendleton, Indiana, and later to Andres Hernandez of El Paso, TX. As the years passed, he became the beloved young uncle to Brianna Lipscomb, Trevor Lipscomb, Jaslyn Garrett (Jason Gambrel), Jacob, Christian, and Ivy Bolin. He was also proud to be a great-uncle to Maximo Hernandez.

Taylor was cherished by his aunts, Jeannie (Glenn) Farmer and Tammy (David) Muse, who truly believed he hung the moon. Taylor is survived by his loving uncle, Frankie (Denise) Dykes of Somerset, who held a special place in Taylor’s heart. He shared a close bond with special cousins Christy (Danny Thomas) Stevens and their children Jacob and Bryson Stevens, and Angie (Steven) Slone and her children Michael, Madison, Mason, and Bryson.

Taylor was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Jewell Williams and Basil Davis, as well as his maternal grandparents, Ila and Jewel Dykes.

Taylor had a charisma that couldn’t be taught. His witty, often sarcastic humor kept everyone laughing, and his warm, joyful spirit made every room brighter. He lived life to have fun and made it his mission to ensure everyone around him did too. He saw only the good in people and genuinely believed the world was filled with good hearts — a belief he carried until the end.

A lifelong Indianapolis Colts fan, Taylor cheered passionately and unapologetically. But above all, he loved deeply. He had a rare gift for making every person feel loved, valued, and seen.

Services will be held at Southern Oaks Funeral Home, with visitation on Friday, December 5th, from 5–8 PM, and the funeral on Saturday, December 6th at 12:00 PM.
Pallbearers will be:
Dewayne Bolin, Trevor Lipscomb, TJ Holloway, Jason Gambrel, Daniel Cook, Jacob Simpson, Jeff Keene, Drew Patton, Seth Weihrauch, Mark Johnson, and Tyler Logan.
There will also be many honorary pallbearers, a testament to the countless lives Taylor touched.

Taylor’s passing leaves a space that can never be filled, but the love he gave, the laughter he shared, and the music he created will echo in the hearts of everyone who knew him.
