Roy New Jr., age 76, of Monticello, Kentucky, passed from this life on Friday, November 14, 2025 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.
Junior was born on August 12, 1949 to the late Roy Oval New and Vontella Kidd New in Wayne County, Kentucky.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers: Fred and Darrell New, and sister Aughdean New.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his sisters, Donna Koontz (Bill Knight), Carol Gregory all of Monticello, Ky and Velma Tucker of Somerset, Ky; brothers: James New of Monticello and Bobby New (Lynna) of Indiana; along with special friends and caretakers: Lena Vaughn, Sara Marcus, and Ashland Barron.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 18, 2025 at 11am in the Chapel of the Southern Oaks Funeral Home with a funeral service to begin at 1pm with Pastor Curtis Woodard officiating. Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be: Tyler Catron, Matthew Brake, Alfrado Diaz, John Kidwell, Jamie Lewis, and William Knight.
Southern Oaks Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements.
