Donald Roger Foster, age 71 of Somerset. Kentucky, passed from this life on Sunday, July 20, 2025 at Baptist Health Hospital in Lexington.
He was born on May 6, 1954 in Albany, Kentucky, son of the late Thomas and Sally Rednour Foster.
Donald enjoyed traveling with his beloved wife Donna Foster, spending time with his 4 kids, 9 grandkids and 1 great grandbaby. His favorite thing to do was hang out with family, have family get-togethers and enjoy Donna’s home cooking. Donald was the past President of Lake Cumberland Board of Realtors. He was very active in the community and gave selflessly to those around him. He and Donna began their lives together at a very young age and worked hard building their lives from the ground up. As a team, Donald was a co-owner/co-founder of Coldwell Banker Foster Real Estate, now known as Coldwell Banker Legacy Group. He was a member of Oak Hill Baptist Church and will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Donna Foster; sons, Joshua Foster, Erik (Jamie) Foster and Adam Foster all of Somerset; daughter, Ashly (Andre) Foster-Smith of Nancy; grandchildren, Haylee Foster, Natalee Foster, Kealan Foster, Bradlee Foster, Ziah Smith, Laikyn Smith, Kaiden Smith, Easton Foster and Eden Edwards; great-grandchild, Sawyer Foster; and Lisa Beatty of Somerset who was like a sister.
Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 24, 2025, at Southern Oaks Funeral Home with funeral services to be held at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday in the Chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home with Bro. Alan Fisher officiating. Burial will be in Southern Oaks Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Joshua Foster, Adam Foster, Erik Foster, Andre Smith, Seth VanHook, Bradlee Foster, Kealan Foster, Charlie Stearns and Billy Stearns. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Oak Hill Baptist Church, 2135 Oak Hill Road, Somerset, KY 42503.
